Cardstock Spring Egg Garland

Hi All,

For spring this year, I wanted to have some updated decorations. To do this, I used cardstock and cut out egg shapes and them sewed them together on my sewing machine. This is the first time that I had tried to sew cardstock together, but it was so easy and fast! Definitely going to be a go to in the future.

Take a look at the 3 Videos I did on Facebook for a look at how to do it yourself!

Supplies:

  • Card Stock of choice (patterned or solid color)
  • Optional:
    • Ink
    • Embossing Folders/Machine
    • Markers
    • Scissors
    • Craft Glue
    • Hot Glue/Glue Gun
    • Rope/Yarn/Jute

Instructions:

  1. Cut out egg templates, either using a die cutter or scissors. I used my Cricut Maker.
  2. Decorate using your desired method. (See video above for some ideas.)
  3. Using a sewing machine with a straight stitch or hot glue gun and rope/yarn/jute attach the eggs to make your garland.

Have a great day, and keep creating!!

I am a mom of 2, wife, and am always looking to create something myself instead of buying it. I met Katy from Little Katy Bugs after becoming a mom, and we both love to craft, both have active families, and a tactful way of telling others what we truly think. I LOVE THAT!!! Art is subjective and so is crafting. So, you may not love everything we make or do, but our goal is to inspire you to create yourself and make things that you will LOVE! We do still sell some of our crafts on the site, at craft fairs, and Katy now participates in a booth store front. Check out our Facebook page for more on the booth. Sometimes we just need inspiration and camaraderie. I hope we can help provide those things to you. Sincerely Donna Beth, a Co-Blogger of www.LittleKatyBugs.com
