Have you ever been super frustrated with keeping your seam straight and the right width? I don’t have the best eyes or lighting where my sewing machine is, as well as getting headaches easily from eye strain. So 🙌 me!!! I have!!! I’m sure others have already thought of this hack, and it’s probably been around as long as rubber bands have, but it just came to me this morning while sewing.
Simply add a rubber band around the arm of your sewing machine where you want the edge of your fabric after it’s sewn…. then you have a line to follow the whole way and because it’s a rubber band, it’s hard to move! It’ll stay steady for you!
I can’t contain my glee at finding this! I hope this inspires you to continue to create things you love!
I am a mom of 2, wife, and am always looking to create something myself instead of buying it. I met Katy from Little Katy Bugs after becoming a mom, and we both love to craft, both have active families, and a tactful way of telling others what we truly think. I LOVE THAT!!!
Art is subjective and so is crafting. So, you may not love everything we make or do, but our goal is to inspire you to create yourself and make things that you will LOVE! We do still sell some of our crafts on the site, at craft fairs, and Katy now participates in a booth store front. Check out our Facebook page for more on the booth.
Sometimes we just need inspiration and camaraderie. I hope we can help provide those things to you.
Sincerely Donna Beth, a Co-Blogger of www.LittleKatyBugs.com
